A key narrative about January 6 just collapsed

Might want to check polling on that one.

Put it up then…

Lefties have spent so much time telling people that police are out to kill blacks that they’ve got a bunch believing the lie to a pretty serious level. Headline - Survey: 44% of Liberals Think Cops Killed Around or Over 1,000 Unarmed Black Men in 2019 - It Was Actually 25

Survey: 44% of Liberals Think Cops Killed Around or Over 1,000 Unarmed Black Men in 2019 - It Was Actually 25 (westernjournal.com)

This piece was published in February…

“Misinformation is an epidemic, and the liberal media is spreading it. Forty-four percent of liberals believe 1,000 or more unarmed black men were murdered by police in 2019, according to a study released Saturday. The study, published by Skeptic Research Center, specifically details that about 27 percent of those who reported being “liberal” estimated about 1,000 unarmed black men were killed by police in 2019, while about 31 percent of those who reported being “very liberal” estimated the same.”

The truth doesn’t matter…Only the narrative.

First define small amount.

under 30%

You seem to be confusing percentages with actual numbers of people in that definition.

Whatever…

My point stands.

Well it would have had you said a minority or even a low percentage, small amount, not so much.

Semantics are fun…

Media lied?

The Capitol Police must have been lying.

Officer Sicknick was responding to the riots on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol and was injured while physically engaging with protesters. He returned to his division office and collapsed. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The death of Officer Sicknick will be investigated by the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch, the USCP, and our federal partners.

The acting Attorney General lied…

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and fellow officers of U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian D. Sicknick, who succumbed last night to the injuries he suffered defending the U.S. Capitol, against the violent mob who stormed it on January 6th. The FBI and Metropolitan Police Department will jointly investigate the case and the Department of Justice will spare no resources in investigating and holding accountable those responsible.

Vice President Pence lied…

Even the White House was in on it…

Can’t wait for the faux outrage over their debunked narratives.

So…what now guys?

What do we do with the 420 who have been arrested? Let 'em go?

What about the Oath Keeper who has already plead? Do we drop the charges?

Right? And they would have been armed. Nobody attempts an unarmed insurrection. It’s pointless.

That’s only because they listened to cnn.

Yes, I suspect that the real problem is that the FBI and Justice Department lied, and the media and government officials repeated the lie.

This case appears to be more like the Gulf of Tonkin incident. Initial reports in a confusing news story frequently turn out to be false; the lie comes if authorities later knowingly deny the truth and fail to correct the reports.

On the same day the NPR reported Sicknick was “slain by a mob”, CNN admitted that medical examinations had not found the cause of death.

Biden repeated the lie in his statement of support of the Trump impeachment on February 13, and House Democrats used the debunked story about homicide by fire extinguisher in the Senate trial. The media failed to call them out on the misinformation, and they continued to repeat the false narratives.

Separation from citizenry

Not much of an insurrection.

This is a big deal to me.

Yes, the Capitol Police report directly to Congress so they are effectively above the law.

Congress exempts them from laws that apply to other federal, state, and local police departments as well as laws for executive agencies in the federal government.

Yes.

A few initial reports did say he had a stroke, but suggested it was induced.

Trying to hang on to any little thing to try to alleviate that dissonance where deep down you all know how bad it was.
