Actually after Monday Trump can pardon himself. Then he and Hunter will have the same legal status as to their conviction. Of course Hunter still will not have control of the nuclear arsenal.
Trump was right in one aspect - there is a 2 tier justice system in the US. If you are rich and / or powerful like Trump or Hunter, you can practically get away with anything. For the average person like you and me - not so much.
