It will just be a continuation of ICE work that has been ongoing but this time it will have all the media eyes on it and the likes of Fox will spin it as if this is brand new.
With only 41,000 beds to hold detained illegal immigrants we will quickly see how many additional immigrants ICE is detaining.
I am not talking about illegals entering into the UKS but the deportations that Trump has promised will skyrocket on day 1.
Two different sides of the same coin
In 2024 deportations hit a 10 year high at 271,000.
Or are you going to fall back on Trumps promises are just more hyperbole and no one actually expects him to deliver on this?
We’ve already been over this. 3 million illegals entered the US in 2024. 271,000 were sent back. That leaves 2.75 million still remaining.
Over the course of 4 years, Biden has deported about 850k illegals. 10.8 million entered illegally. That leaves 10 million more illegals since Trump left office.
So, let’s sit back and see what this picture looks like 4 years from now. We can enjoy the ride together and maybe share some popcorn.
Several of us knew this was going to sink the democrats in 2024, talked about it for over a year on here, just like it did in 2016. They seemed to be just fine on losing the presidency for four years and a possible 1-2 SC pickup for their open borders stance that was highly unpopular in a every single poll released.
All one has to do is look up the extra votes Trump picked up in states like New Jersey and New York who these places for the first time had just and ounce of what the border towns had to deal with. They are still putting them in hotels.
Yet the democrats proved it was a hill worth losing on I don’t think they ever really got how it looked on the average American seeing illegal immigrants being put up in hotels given money, while being kicked out of the affluent Martha Vineyards within 24 hours.
The message was clear, regardless of the media trying to spin it. It wasn’t a problem the people of Martha Vineyard were wanting for themselves. It was a problem they wanted for everybody else.
Biden only started enforcing half heartedly our immigration laws as we neared the election. And even that was balanced by his flying more in and adding countries to his list of “temporary” immigrants…who never seem to go back.
Just plugging the border was sufficient reason to elect Trump. Deporting those who commit crimes (not favored by most Democrats) is another plus. Any additional immigration enforcement will be a big plus though I won’t hold my breath regarding the size.
Oh…and quadrupling the number of illegals just to slightly increase the deportation numbers is not impressive.
Plus a look at monthly crossings show the big decline started in June and July of 2019, whereas Covid didn’t hit until around March of 2020. What made the difference was Mexico complying with Trumps demand to stop the hordes or we would tariff them out of business.
