Amazing when you type in your browser “curriculum 1776 commission”.
Sure beats the screeching of people who never even bothered to look.
That seems to be it.
It is the status quo.
Again not the argument I was making, nor was the OP.
What state would that be?
Do you live in the United States?
That’s OK if you weren’t, the fact remains that you benefit greatly from the conquest of the natives.
That “curriculum” is exactly what is being taught already. Do we have a problem today of people learning about famous inventors, generals, Presidents etc?
That’s all I learned about. Which is great! However, we should also learn about the bad parts.
1619 goes in-depth in those parts.
Sorry I will not give out personal information. Seems you can either believe me or not. I really don’t care.
What state would that be?
Or make assumptions because…arrrrggg Trumph!
Sounds pretty positive to me.
Uh huh…if it were a territory prior to the Civil War…a territory with Americans settling it, some had slaves in it. Study up on the various slave-related Compromises…the Missouri Compromise…the Compromise of 1850…the decision in the Dred Scott case.
Does not matter. Black slaves who did not return to their country of origin built their lives at the expense of my people.
Oh man. Should they have taken the same free ride back?
Sorry no black slaves were ever owned in my state.
What assumptions were made in the OP?
Sorry if the truth hurts. Your people have what they have at the expense of my people.
Tell us which state and I’ll research your claim.
Nope.
Also being taught as well
No, it re-frames history inaccurately.
Do you have an issue with this?
The 1776 Unites curriculum offers authentic, inspiring stories from American history that show what is best in our national character and what our freedom makes possible even in the most difficult circumstances. 1776 Unites maintains a special focus on stories that celebrate black excellence, reject victimhood culture, and showcase African-Americans who have prospered by embracing America’s founding ideals .
You really need to quit asking for personal information. It is against the rules. Maybe you need to go give the rules another read so you know the rules.
