It’s nice you remember the Pol Pot leftist imposed nightmare.

How do they decide which company who to pick on? Not enough donations to the dems perhaps?

The discussion was about the false assertion that the general welfare clause delegates a power to Congress to enter the states and regulate the business practices and activities of private businesses therein.

Contrary to that absurd assertion I posted THE MEANING OF GENERAL WELFARE as stated by those who framed, and the people who adopted the Constitution.

Now, are you suggesting that the power delegated to Congress to regulate commerce among the states is a grant of power authorizing Congress to enter the states and regulate the business practices and activities of private businesses therein?

“Agriculture and manufacturing involve the production of goods; commerce encompasses traffic in such articles.” ___ See U.S. vs. Lopez

Good luck.

My job isn’t repulsive. It is out in the heat. And inside in the cool. Wherever work is being done.

I loved working when I was a kid, kept me in comic books and pineapple soda.

If you lived in america without OSHA, unions and other worker protections, you would have been working 12 hours a day 6 days a week.

Who told you that?

History.

Well, to be fair, they also mention the General Welfare clause. You’re of course welcome to challenge it in the courts if you think it’s inappropriate.

Who said your job was repulsive? I directed that at someone else. Know what a digester tank is in a Waste Water Treatment Plant? Try cleaning one of those bad boys in the summer. We’re talking repulsive. Or a sewage tank on a 425’ USCG Cutter in dry dock? Yummy. My point was that a lot people do ■■■■■■ work others would blow chunk over. Then move on to something not so well, repulsive.

Yep. Not what I call them.

Anyway I thought you had a ranch. I haven’t worked with horses and cows since I was a teenager but I’d rather work outside with them than people any day.
