Still the dad’s choice and his responsability.

But who knows, child may have died if they didn’t make the treck as well.

Take it easy, libs. You made your point here. Crushingly.

Sounds like appendicitis. You typically feel better after the appendix ruptures, and then rapidly deteriorate while experiencing vomiting and nausea.

Serious question: has it ever been the practice to give mandatory health screenings to migrants awaiting processing, etc…?

These are people that come from a very different way of life. What you may do is not always done in other cultures. Medical care is a choice.

That doesn’t relate to the subject at hand.

A Fayetteville Observer investigation found more than 120 children have died in the state within a year of their parents or caregivers being referred to a DSS agency. More than 30 of the children were killed — beaten to death, shot, drowned, smothered or poisoned by drugs.

Apparently no one cares enough to REPORT THE FACTS that the Dr treating this boy requested a follow up visit & the father said NO. That a follow up visit WASN’T necessary. Better to CRITICIZE the GOVT than to hold the person accountable who’s actually RESPONSIBLE.

Do you have a reputable link for this claim by chance for us to peruse? If the facts are important, as you seem to believe them to be.

It’s been reported in other sources.

That evening, Gomez started vomiting, and his father declined medical help because his son had been feeling better, CBP said.

His father declined further medical assistance, the CBP said, as the child had been feeling better.

That’s not what the other poster claimed.

Thank you RTchoke

Bump in hope of answer

So we’re supposed to rely on the word of the CBP.

We know that the CBP was aware the child had a fever of 103 and had thrown up recently. I find it odd that they weren’t more concerned for the child’s well-being.

Believe whoever you wish.

It’s apparent liberals defend and take the side of illegals over US citizens and the country at every turn. Why stop now?

Yup. The father was not a doctor. Medical personnel would have (and should have) treated the boy anyway.

Then there is this.

Are you saying the news lied to us? Don’t be foolish…everyone knows USA protocol is to get people to the doctor. If they don’t want the help they can’t make them.

I’m saying that the Daily Caller, which was the origination of the claim at the time, is not “news” by any stretch of the definition.

That’s a bit of hyperbole, don’t you think?

Doctors miss diagnose illnesses all the time, especially when they are not the child’s primary care doctor, don’t have medical history, have little to no time to observe the patient, and have not yet gotten to the point of running specific, detailed tests.

A lot of diseases mask themselves as a common cold or flu.
