If Bill Clinton was an idiot and didn’t even pretend to be remorseful about his behavior, he might have been 10% as bad as what we are now seeing with Trump.

Good article, and yes it’s easy to see the parallels. The difference between Donald and Clinton, relevant to personal scandal, is Donald’s inability to even play at the contrition game. It’s as though he feels to suggest personal fault in any one thing is to open the floodgates of examination and condemnation for a lifetime of poor behavior and corruption.
Well - close. Trump is what Clinton would be IF Clinton had been born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
That’s unfair. Bill was smart and competent if, uh, morally flawed.
I was looking at this from the moral angle. Almost constantly we see Trump supporters saying what about Bill with the adulteru and pardons.
In actual governance and diplomacy Clinton was far more effective.
The only difference is Bill Clinton was actually good at his job. And likeable. And somehow less of a scumbag (which is saying a lot…)

I didn’t vote for Trump, and I never voted for a Clinton for President.

Bill Clinton wouldn’t be filling our courts with conservative judges. He certainly wouldn’t have nominated Gorsuch or Kavanaugh.
You know who would? Marco Rubio. Ted Cruz. John Kasich. Any of the other 15 candidates you could have gotten behind. Even Mike Frikken Pence.
But nooooo. You just had to go in on the racist wannabe mob boss didn’t you.
Ahh, but you have to win the WH first. The only GOP candidate with any chance was Trump. No one else could have won Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
