I’m going to agree with you here. The article in the OP doesn’t provide any evidence that he’s planning to work from home in Las Vegas. More time/info is needed
It will be interesting to see if restrictive hybrid options will impact employers in trying to hire the best talent.
I have to go into the office once per week at least 3 times per month, as does my team. My one day in the office tends to be my least productive. Other positions range from zero days to five days.
I do like how my employer has applied hybrid to each individual role differently.

I’m not into platitudes. Give me an actual reason. If you’re doing your job, what’s the problem? If there is a significant drop in production, then say so. Don’t yap about what makes us stronger.
As far as Trump making workers come back to the office, that might have more to do with seeing if these employees actually exist.
