And my answer is even more common sense.

We were told that we needed lockdown to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed. Nearly all of the vulnerable population has been vaccinated. They won’t be sent to hospitals. The rest can take their chances if they choose. So the reason for lockdown is now gone.

No, I am not saying that at all. Again, classic overthinking. I am saying that the increase in depression, suicides, drug use, loss of income and wealth. loss of education combined with lower hospitalizations, lower fatalities and vacine availability is a great reason.

The government has met their stated goals. Time to move on. Let people who are still afraid, self lock down. Let the rest of us take responsibility for our own health again.
