I am convinced that all Olympic cyclists are mad. The courage they show is amazing. The Aussie who face-palmed the track at full speed and later returned to race was interviewed today. He took off his face mask to show that he had lost skin on his cheek, between his mouth and nose, and on his nose.

I take that was a general comment rather than directed at one particular country.
Whilst I concede that there would be some drug taking in the sport, personally I think cycling would be one of the cleaner sports now because the international cycling federation is committed to getting rid of drug cheats by their testing regime.
Yeah, British people accusing others of doping in cycling would be throwing stones in a glass house after team Sky’s shenanigans.
Cycling always seems like a sport where a certain amount of doping is almost mandatory to me, but maybe that’s unfair.
How are your lot getting on on the baseball? Lost to Japan yet?
We withdrew for the last qualifying event of the baseball because of the quarantine restrictions. We lost 8-1 i the softball I believe.
Hopefully the Kookaburras will beat Germany tonight in the hockey.
