I just told you, it can’t currently do everything I need it to do, and it’s also cumbersome and clunky to use, when that changes I’m out. It’s still in its infancy and consequently lacks a lot of content but that will change.

The Blockchain creates a public record of your actions and it’s disrributed and freely investigated. All one needs is a your key.

Did you read the article, they didn’t hack the coins directly, they used ransomware to extort them. That’s like saying your money in a conventional bank isn’t secure because you paid ransomware extortion with your conventional dollars.

Well lets take Mt Gox as an example, it wasn’t the tech, it was their incompetence. Otherwise the hackers would have nailed everyone.

They didn’t hack in and steal existing bit coins, it’s more akin to a dupe exploit in an mmo. If you aren’t familiar with it I can explain further but to put it shortly they lagged them out with dos attacks and used that delay to redeem existing coins multiple times.
