I don’t give a rat’s ass who is in power…I don’t like deficit spending. I will admit though, that last year, when this COVID thingy was crushing our nation, I didn’t have a problem with the original stimulus bill. What I find repulsive though, is using COVID as an excuse, to pass a spending bill that isn’t truly about COVID.

How did that relate to the deficit?

You strongly enthusiastically supported those hedge fund tax cuts that blew the ■■■■■■■ deficit up because it was Republicans doing it. Lol.

Well. Harris just broke the 50-50 tie and the bill passed.

(Thanks Georgia!)

No the vote was to start debat. Probably still in the middle of reading the 600+ page bill to the senate.

After that every republican senator should introduce an amendment (re worded each time) to strike any and all spending not related to covid from the bill.

Vocally supported the tax cut that blew a whole in the deficit.

The tax cut you don’t even get to keep while the hedge funds keep their much larger cuts lol.

Which should ensure that all bar the original amendment motion be ruled out of order.

Should be more interesting when they take back the house.

yup. The balanced budget and tax ammendment I advocate would be cutting the budget. Requrie a super majority to raise taxes and simple majority to lower them.

We need to start cutting things that are not called for in the constitution.

Only because Dem’s won’t renew or make permanent the individual tax cuts.

You’ll be amazed how it works? There’s a delay and the next year that’s exactly what happened.

This bill is supported by the majority of Americans, including many Republicans.

Were you complaining about the debt, when the tax cuts were passed?
That has added trillions to the debt.

The economic royalists are grateful for your support.

Everyone wants their $1400 payments. They don’t care what else is in it.

Well I was. Can’t speak for anyone else.

I wanted spending cuts to go along with the tax cuts.

Lol yeah it’s Democrats’ fault Republicans passed a bill where the massive stock firm tax cuts are permanent and your three dollar a paycheck tax cut is temporary.
