This thread is hilarious. A bunch of “conservatives” pushing for more government regulation with the assumption that every child comes from a caring home. The “conservatives” are so afraid of the boogeyman du jour, “woke,” they’re willing to put the health of children behind their fears. Educators are the enemy. Medicine is the enemy. Open discussion is the enemy. Fear is a powerful drug. “Conservatives” are addicts.

The outcome has already been decided. The “conservative” states will continue the spiraling into increasing healthcare, education, social and financial inequality. Either the states will realize this and reverse course or things will become so bad the federal government will step in. This will not be the first time in this country’s history this exact thing has happened.

“Conservatives” aren’t righteous, just, compassionate or logical. They’re just afraid. All for the “woke” boogeyman. Disgraceful.

Wrong.

Funny someone advocating anti-woke legislation is claiming a culture war from those against it. Hmm…tightening legislation specifically impacting sexual education secondary to fear of “wokeness.” I wonder what that is called?

Do you realize the whole purpose of critical theory is culture war?

Giving parents more power over what the government schools do to their children is NOT giving the government more regulatory power. You apparently have been so thoroughly indoctrinated that you cannot discern the difference.

Can you remind me which side is currently opposing free speech legislation in congress and supports the government controlling mis, mal and disinformation? Thanks in advance.

Tell me you don’t know what CRT is without telling me you don’t know what CRT is.

Lol.

Love that “power.”

“Conservatives” are afraid. They’re afraid educators and healthcare professionals will say something to their children that scares them or makes them uncomfortable. They might actually have to be a parent and discuss those scary real world topics. They’re so powerless as parents they believe the words of a teacher or healthcare professional will outweigh their own.

“Conservative” parents are weak. They don’t want power. They want someone to scrub all those “scary” things from the world because they’re too lazy and afraid to do actual parenting.

I’m sure when their kids get out into the real world and are faced with challenges and viewpoints which conflict with their own they’ll be well suited to deal with them. Who am I kidding? They’re going to be just as afraid and incompetent as their parents. Look at the current all star lineup of “conservative” legislators.

Lol. Social media is “free speech.” Only to the “conservatives” who don’t understand the Constitution or what constitutional free speech is.

The great thing about it, is that all of these “conservatives” complaining about “free speech” in private platforms are literally advocating for socialism. I thought socialism was bad?

And a hammer and sickle tattoo :man_facepalming::joy:

Conservatives like these?

Still trying to save face.

So some parents thought a classical statute was inappropriate.
Would having multiple people performing a sex act in a third grade classroom be inappropriate?
Ok, so you are agreeing that some things are inappropriate for children.
We are only arguing over what those standards are and who gets to make the decision.

C’mon man. Even lib parents want a say in what the government schools foist upon their children. :smirk:

Libs who aren’t so disgustingly old and out of touch with society, that is (you know, the ones with actual kids of their own in school).

Can you imagine the media outrage if Trump were re-elected in 2024 (realclear politics polls show that is a real possibility) and he had DHS start a campaign to counter the disinformation that the 2020 election wasn’t stolen?
