Like what?

Acknowledging our entire ugly history, and how it still has lasting effects today.

That would be a good start.

I acknowledge it. I saw part of it with my own eyes. It doesn’t have “lasting effects today.”

But we can pretend. Now what?

What else?

Thinking like that is the problem.

Too many blind people.

Ok, it has lasting effects today. Now what?

You don’t really believe that…What is the point?

Don’t crawfish. It has lasting effects today. Now what?

I fully believe it had lasting impacts. No way that it didn’t.

But I also believe that many of my black brothers and sisters are using it as a crutch and an excuse for their personal failures.

It’s hard to make it out of the trap, but it can be done. This isn’t 1955. There is hope.

No retreat…you have no intention on having an honest discussion.

I’m here, giving you want you want.

It had lasting effects today.

Now what?

There are some that probably falsely blame race for many of their problems.

Just as some white people blame immigrants for their problems.

Things are much better than 1955…

Yet it has had lasting effects.

Now what?

Well?

But they did, that’s the point. We live in the here and now, not in the mid sixties.

What issues linger that Cons are not aware of?

Yes…they did, a generation later.

Which means in about 20 years, cons will be saying they supported the BLM movement.

What issues? The simple fact that many cons do not think there are issues, is the damn issue.

Not ■■■■■■■ likely.

The chances are considerably better that libs will realize they were conned. (See what I did there? )

There are issues. What now?

Here is one of the issues. Something that rarely, if ever happens to non-colored people.

Keep in mind, it is not always a big thing (like getting shot)…it is the 1000 little cuts phenomenon, that takes it’s toll. Something you and I have never had to deal with.

Well…now that you truly believe there are still issues, what do you think we should do?

I have no idea, we’re huntin’ your dog, not mine.

What issue do you want to address first?
