We have progressed quite a lot since 1956. People having sex in inappropriate places has happen since forever. I do not condone that behavior at all. But that is not a sign our republic is falling.

Having one of the 2 major parties no longer believing in democracy is a much bigger problem than this.

Mate they are all it. The capital has been a hotbed of illicit sex since it was built. Nothing new. I guarantee there are more than a handful of elected reps on both sides banging each other and getting up to all sorts of hedonistic behavior.

Nah it’s just a sign of how far technology has come.

Humans love their deviant behavior, this was probably tame to some of the stuff that has gone down there.
