The federal government is accountable to We the People.

This is the fundamental disagreement between cons and leftists - blind faith in government as a noble, altruistic entity. You cannot root out a dysfunctional bureaucracy once it’s fully entrenched, just as the IRS or any local Child Protective Services agency consistently demonstrate. You don’t HAVE to be a UHC member - it might cost you more, but at least you have alternatives. There will be no such alternatives under Medicare for All unless you’re a one-percenter or a high ranking member of the ruling Democratic oligarchy. It will also be subject to the whims of Democratic Executive orders - such as one hypothetically crafted to address “inequities” by prioritizing healthcare by race or whatever woke grievance is in fashion.

The Federal government has limited and restricted powers under the Constitution, which is the only document that authorizes any power to it over the people. We do not have a government where 51% of the people are authorized to order 100% of the people around. That government has never been agreed to in the US.
Its “we the people” created a federal government of limited powers, not get to tell everybody what they can do.

How would you feel about that if Trump supporters were 51 percent of the country and doing what they could to make that a permanent condition…and caring less what 49% of the population thought? And in fact actively trying to dismantle any dissent they have by, for example, ending the filibuster?

I wouldn’t be advocating the destruction of the country.

It worked just fine when we had it. Almost every body supported it.

They still had led prayer in school when i started school.

We still had bible readings over the intercom to start school when i was in high school.

Didn’t hurt anyone and probably helped some.

Society certainly seems to have slowly slid downhill since we got away from all that.
