No it’s not.

It’s a federal holiday.

Everyone can celebrate it and participate in its celebration.

Many already have.

In Louisiana, we need to keep reminding them so that the sins are not repeated.

Angola Pententiary is pretty much run the same way Amgola Plantation used to be run 200 years ago.

They are a part of our history that have survived for 150 years. There was no need to remove them. LIBs are all about rewriting history and with Obama’s win thy seized on the opportunity to make America pay for its past sins.

We already do that. There are many Juneteenth celebrations across the country. Why do we need yet another federal holiday?

Why not?

Of course it is. Latinos (largest minority) have nothing to celebrate. Neither do Asians. Nor Indians. Nor immigrants from Africa nor anywhere else.

Sure they do.

We all do.

Why not isn’t a response to my question.

No they don’t. They had no part in it. Neither do I, but I don’t count.

It absolutely is.

Reparations? You mean the Platinum Plan?

Shouldn’t we be obliged to make one of their celebrations a federal holiday as well?

Let’s end Christmas as a federal holiday then.

Let them push for it. I’ll support it.

I love holidays.

Why?
.

You are answering a question with a question. So I guess I can simply repeat my question. Why?

Because there are large swaths of people in this country for whom Christmas means nothing.
