I’m sure there were signs. It’s hard to imagine that he woke up one day before going to his Obama appointed job and said, “I think I’ll join a white nationalists group after I get off work today.”

Sounds like you have already predetermined there was inadequate vetting when you don’t actually know what kind of vetting process he did or didn’t go through. “Signs” is pretty vague and not necessarily something that was there.
