Roberts is not needed for that to happen.
He will not be President when the trial to remove him from office occurs, therefore…no President no need for Roberts.
In fact, a trial at that point will be pointless.
And I think enough Senators will go along with that to make the conviction fail once again.
Besides, of course, that there was no insurrection as alleged.

Totally agree except I would totally vote for him. Lol

Enabling? Roberts is not enabling Pelosi to do anything, the Constitution did.

And Trump’s actions.

Another purity test! YAY!

No it is not. He must be convicted to be barred.

It was a legislate question. Any potential amendment is going to have a tremendous amount of discussion around it

Forcing the issue. Pitting the branches of government against each other.

It is a giant dysfunctional family on display and nobody is able to back off. Very uncomfortable.

It isn’t just Trump.

That’s not a fair response. I would totally vote for Kanye over Biden. Lol.

Not exactly. Take a look at everything that went on this election cycle. Many more than President Trump should be saying, “I am partly responsible.” I believe President Trump’s lack of responsibility lies in how he treated Vice President Pence–not anything he said about the crowd walking to the Capitol and having a peaceful protest there instead of remaining at the Ellipse. Words one percent ignored.

And now his base will be riled up and angered by the impeachment. He again put wood in fire by making it about himself. He is asking his base to defend him from impeachment. they are already angered by upcoming inaugration. the impeachment may push them over the top. trump need to just be quiet about it.

OK. Have at it.

I already addressed that portion both yesterday and today.

What? You mean Trump? I agree.

He screwed up bigly last Wednesday. The first impeachment was unwarranted, this one is warranted.

It caps off an run of insanity since November 4th. And it ended in death.

Let him go.

But then went on to say later that his speech was acceptable

Based on what?

He deserves to impeached but not for incitement to riot.

Have at what? The House is going to impeach. You think the Senate is going to refuse to try him?

What portion of the speech was I addressing at that time? (The portion where he spoke of a peaceful protest at the Capitol.)

Then why does he deserve it?

There was a riot. He did incite it.
