That argument works during an election - maybe. Lesser of two evils, and all that.
Not so much right now.
Georgia did 3 hand count audits…
Three!
What more do you want?

Speaking in the context of riots.
Why they kicked everyone out of the polling station in Georgia, pulled boxes out from under tables and loaded them into voting machines. I would like to hear from the people who did it.
That’s all I want.

He didn’t? "We bring a gun…folks in Philly like a good brawl…?
Saying something that makes people mad enough to riot is not by itself a crime.
It’s not? Are you sure? Encourage, breach the peace…

I understood the initial support for Trump, Republicans convinced themselves that they needed an “outsider” to really champion their causes ok fine…
But the constant lies, gas-lighting and conspiracy peddling…Trump went full AM radio and in the final days he took it a step too far…although I will say for now… who knows what Trumps political fortunes will be

If you want to impeach, you have to win the House.

OH really?

You make my point. Trump passed that point.
His enemies have been corrupt.
In any case, I do appreciate the exchange of views this morning. I do want to note is that President Trump has said he is now working on a peaceful transfer of power. It appears the Democrats themselves are not very concerned that there pursuit of Impeachment will delay confirmation for the next Administration. Which one is better for the nation?
Anyway, I always watch myself for signs of boredom, because when I find myself growing bored, I know I am boring others. My apologies for that, and also my sincere wishes you do not regret the next Administration. (And I mean to all who have been posting with me, not just TheDoctor.)

To convict after he is out of office would only be of significance in preventing him from running again. It is the Senate saying “we are afraid that the majority of the people may want Trump, and we cannot allow the will of the people”. That would be as great a threat to democracy as anything Trump has done.

Trump never won the popular vote. The majority of people didn’t want him. Either time.

Then anti republican. Not allowing the Constitutional voting process to decide.

It is when one claims “the majority of the people may want Trump, and we cannot allow the will of the people”.

Just politically, I am surprised Democrats would push this. A continued Trump is much more dangerous to the Republican party’s chances in the future than to the Democrat’s chances in the future.
Though I am not convinced that impeachment by itself would prevent Trump from having a good deal of influence over the Republican party.
But then, Pelosi has an almost visible aura of “hate Trump” around her (though I’m sure she prays for him regularly like she claims)

Will of the people in 2016 was that he get enough of the electoral college to win the election. The presise stands that Trump scares liberals enough that they can’t take that chance again in 2024. They need to ban him from running entirely.
