Which is really meaningless and a deflection when one considers a previous year’s deficit can be decreased by a few billion dollars while the national debt can be increased by hundreds of billions. Keep in mind the national debt has been spiking under the past several Administrations, regardless of political party affiliation as previously pointed out…
.
The Fair Share Balanced Budget Amendment not only addresses the deficit problem, but also ends the destructive miseries now suffered under federal taxing of profits, gains, salaries, wages, and other lawfully realized “incomes”, and also makes each State’s Congressional Delegation immediately accountable in their own state when they spend more than is brought from imposts, duties, and excise taxes.

“…a national revenue must be obtained; but the system must be such a one, that, while it secures the object of revenue it shall not be oppressive to our constituents.”___ Madison, during the creation of our Nation’s first revenue raising Act
I was addressing your meaningless and politized comment. Additionally, I pointed out

And the National Debt has skyrocketed during the past several presidents, and that includes the present Administration LINK
RE: “Your fantasies on how to fix that with assumptions about its affect on the economy are just that fantasy.”
Abiding by our Constitution and its documented legislative intent is now a fantasy “…with assumptions about its affect on the economy…” ?
I tend to agree with the wisdom of our Founders over your displayed petulant and obtuse opinions.
If you are not interested in having a productive conversation, why continue to post in the thread?

“If the Constitution was ratified under the belief, sedulously propagated on all sides that such protection was afforded, would it not now be a fraud upon the whole people to give a different construction to its powers?”___ Justice Story
I asked a question which you chose to ignore because it’s easier for you to argue in a vaccum where your positions don’t have actual effect on the economy. So you get what you get because of how you debate…
Your question was addressed HERE but you chose to ignore the various answers given because it’s easier for you to to obfuscate, deflect, and misrepresent.

Our socialist revolutionaries are known for accusing others of what they themselves are guilty of.
I understand your clever desire to deflect to speculations concerning the THE FAIR SHARE BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT, rather than discus its specific provisions, and the principles under which the provisions are based, e.g., Representation in Congress with a proportional financial obligation, whenever a direct tax is laid upon the people!
JWK
When Federal Reserve Notes were made a legal tender in violation of our Constitution, and a direct un-apportioned tax was imposed upon the people without their consent, America’s free enterprise, free market system was subjugated, and the tools of oppression were made available to some very immoral and nefariously evil people.
The specific provisions have been discussed. They are irrelevant without understand how the economy would be effected. You are ignoring that part of a reason. You want to engage in a thought exercise while ignoring the repercussions.
