Passing up a Supreme Court seat for a conservative and if Biden is elected having a liberal take the seat instead? I don’t know that Utah would forget that. That would be remembered every time there was a 5-4 decision.

If a Justice upholds the Constitution what, other than qualifications and experience, should matter?

I’d think this would be an area both sides can come together on rather than than the foot stomping that is going on.

I left the party because the establishment was more concerned with appearances than results, apparently you agree with them. good for you. i didn’t vote for trump. was a solid “never trumper”. he earned my vote. Romney and McCain never earned a damn thing from me.

Republicans promised to reign in the worst tendencies of President Trump in 2016. That is why I am no longer a republican.

GOP was the only party I ever registered with. Became Independent after the Bush Sr. admin, and have seen no reason to align with either party since.

Its all the same. What you call political activism is judges judging based on an interpretation of the Constitution you don’t agree with (and vice versa).

Trump will be on board and they will do this lightning fast.

Because Trump needs a SCOTUS on his side should he bring legal actions the intent of which will be to throw out enough Biden votes for him to win re-election.

McConnell of course is all about power.

They will let Murkowski and Romney defect as a statement vote, but there is no way on God’s green earth four Republicans will be allowed to defect.

Book it. The new justice is seated sometime in mid-October.
