The left IS trying every day. They don’t want to disarm the populace because they care about safety. They want to disarm the populace because they are arrogant, think they should tell everyone how to live, & are control freaks who crave power above all else.

They want to disarm the populace so nobody can turn arms on them when they continue with their goals of running over us all, removing our human rights. It’s not the safety of the public they care about, they don’t care what happens to them, they are only concerned about their own safety, so they can have dominion over us without fear.

I refuse to get into a Mobulis like discussion with you, but you are wrong. Virtually everything about Ancient Rome was different than the history of the US. The only thing you are correct about is that, like Rome, and every other empire, the US will crumble to become a shadow of its former status. And that decay will come from within. And revoking the 2nd Amendment will accelerate that decay. In the meantime, it is progressive socialism that is destroying us.
