I actually don’t think they need to be as long as they don’t riot or loot. I’m out in the boonies & I’m certain that won’t happen here, but if it did, there would be a lot of them shot. Not because anyone wants to, but because that’s just how it would be. Come to anyone’s property or business here to loot, threaten, or destroy, you will most certainly be stopped, one way or another, by arrest if possible, but lethal force if pushed. I can’t even understand how the cities can put up with it, any of it. Just would not happen here, period. Stand your ground is taken seriously here.
What country would let people completely destroy their cities and people’s businesses? None would if they want to keep their country. Look at liberal France they took only so much from the Yellow vest movement before they started literally cracking heads. It was either that or lose France, and guess what changed nothing.
This protest is not about Floyd it may have started for a single day that way but as always it’s morphed into something totally different. In Britain they are beating the cops up over Floyd yet there was only two people unarmed killed in Britain last year and one of the killed was a terrorist.
All this is doing is what always does shows the world that mass diversity and multiculturalism is a failure, and if they are smart don’t go down the same road as the west which starts with never ending liberal white guilt.
It is amazing that this is the conclusion that you expect “other countries” to come to, regarding these protests.
All the main leaders of western countries have said it about the failures of multiculturalism they just don’t take it the extra step as it is political suicide, Merkel, Sarkozy, Brown they all said it. I have np with diversity (And even celebrate it) until it grows to the point that’s social cohesion is lost. I don’t expect anyone on the left to agree with me but when the host nation changes rapidly, these things have always happened through out history and it solely a one way street a western phenomenon. No one suggests that what Eritrea needs is some Scotsman integrated into it to spice up their culture.
None of the eastern nations will have a thing to do with it. I don’t see a benefit of turning Tokyo 50% Caucasian, Indian or any other race or take away from Japan’s culture. They seem to get along and do quiet well staying Japanese. And as a someone who lived and worked there for six months I understand why, they don’t have to deal with this non stop guilt and shame.
According to the Medium it’s racist for a white woman to commit suicide. A healthy society doesn’t sit around and beat themselves all day long because of guilt which is why we will be left behind in ruin while other countries doesn’t have to deal with it.
This all nonsense.
There is no history to compare us to. The United States is arguably the first modern State without a nation, at least in the traditional sense.
Everything else you’ve said is too close to “things get bad when there’s too many ______ around” for me to really respond to.

Very, very interesting statement. American exceptionalism.
Steady…

Please do continue, counselor. You have attracted my interest.
I don’t necessarily know what else you want to say - it is a literal truth. We are exceptional, particularly in the context I mentioned.

Perhaps explain what you mean by state and nation and why it matters?

The term “American Exceptionalism” was coined by Joseph Stalin.

Actually, it was fed to him by American communists.
Good term.
A state is a political entity - the physical area, and its citizenry as it exists as a political unit.
A nation is a culturally homogeneous group - usually, but not universally along ethnic lines.
That’s probably the best I’m able to do right now.

We may find out sooner rather than later if America is still “exceptional” or not.
When Chinese troops begin landing in Taiwan, an event that is likely a very short period of time in the future, we will learn whether it is still American Exceptionalism or whether it becomes Chinese Exceptionalism.
Yeah, I don’t know what that has to do with multiculturalism and diversity. It’s just a convenient scapegoat.
I didn’t use to even have these thoughts even in my head I was down the line libertarian who voted for Obama in 2008 which I have mentioned quiet a few times on this forum. All I have seen for the last six/ eight years in the west is people pushing division, uncontrolled borders, identity politics, and at ad-nauseam white guilt.
I don’t know exactly when it started, maybe on the campuses but it never was put in check and instead propped up. Literally everything Senator Obama ran on is a complete opposite of the way he is talking today, he himself said he is more to the left today than he was back then. Why would people not consider as they drag the Democratic Party further and further to the left it’s going to have the exact opposite effect for the other side.
It’s ridiculous you have words that one group of people can say others can’t in the same country, people looking for a reason to dox someone and ruin their life for even the resemblance of what they perceive as racism. I Remember the glee in the media and social media at the convington catholic kids thinking they were mocking native Indians before the full video was released there was blue checkmark twitter users with millions of followers calling for their heads.
That is a sick society, were did it start? I don’t think me pointing out that the division is obvious and yes it seems to be painted right down racial lines these days instead of class lines which could have been a unifier. I am old enough to remember 9/11 and the county united as Americans now all I hear is that this country is irredeemable racist to its core. Just read where BLM is going to start an armed chapter in its ranks across the country anyone can see were this is heading.
I am pointing out what I have seen play out in little under a decade and to me the woke crowd is doing more to damage this country than any other group
in the U.S. Intersectionality, cancel culture, identity politics, wokeness, Antifa. it’s all built on the purpose of more division and they are doing a good job at it. Me pointing out that a country like Japan doesn’t have to deal with this is factually correct. It doesn’t me bring me a smile saying it and it is quiet uncomfortable. I hope things turn around, but I see few trying.
France is almost always under a mass riot and has been since 1789.
It’s a tradition of the republic. The French Republic is like an old Toyota Truck. No matter what happens they somehow pull through.
Unlike the previous administration this one will almost certainly be looking into all of that.
Exactly. We have had protests in my area. Which as first amendment supporters we have no problem with. But no riots. Which was my point. In the burbs we won’t sit back and watch. We will defend ourselves vigorously.
