Why straight pride event are stupid

I get equalilty under the law they should get their stupid parade.

but the reason they are upset is because they don’t understand why gay pride event exist.

people are attacked, murdered, thrown out their homes, parent disown their children, they use to be arrested, jailed, and in some countries still are executed for their sexuality that is why gay pride is important.

because we need to over-come that and accept people for who they are.

Yep…but some politicians like Hillaroid take money from those very people who do those terrible things to gays, she took bribes to keep her mouth shut and look the other way.

No, but you do have to have struggled through and triumphed over systemic prejudice, oppression, and violence. Which (if one bothers to come out of one’s shell of preconceived notions and self-assured assumptions) one might learn is the entire point of these types of events - the celebration of overcoming a history of marginalization/demonization.

But as some others have said - if there are straight white males out there who feel so put out that they can’t march, then by all means they should put themselves front and center.

To play devils advocate one could argue that both points of view can and should be expressed in the public square, and that neither one is really right or wrong. It’s an issue of convictions; both sides of the homosexuality debate feel that the other side is immoral.

Barring a person taking action on that hate what can anyone do about it?

Ultimately someone hating someone who is gay, but taking no actions to infringe upon their rights, doesn’t affect them in any way.

Your post seems to suggest that changing hearts and minds, by societal force through exclusion if necessary, is the prudent action to take. I’m not so sure about that; two wrongs don’t make it right.
