Simple. The East German wall was built to keep people in … like a prison wall. Reagan didn’t call on Mr. Gorbachev to tear down that wall so that we could go there, he demanded it be torn down so his people could leave. The US border wall would be to keep people from coming in without following the rules for coming here. Just like I had to do to come visit Ireland … and every other country I have been to.
How do you think I would fair if I snuck into Ireland without a valid Passport and Visa? Do you think they’d let me stay and roam about on my own while my solicited appealed for clemency?
It is either a misdemeanor or felony to cross our border illegally. A pardon is rarely provided for the reason that, unlike the J6 trespassers, these crimes are rarely prosecuted. At most, they are usually just returned to their own country if caught.
Are you saying they should spend months in jail, prosecuted, and then pardoned before being sent home so they can be like the J6 trespassers?
Sure Jay Jay, you agree with the PRINCIPLE of them being deported, just not the practice of deporting them. You just hide your outright support of illegals being here by insisting that every single one- all 15 million that Biden illegally brought in, be given a hearing before a judge, knowing full well that there aren’t enough judges to do so. The result of your support of the “principle” of deportations is that millions stay here illegally while waiting for their fair hearing and thousands of Americans continue to be victimized in the meantime. What you guys really want is to to bog down the system so badly, that the illegals get so integrated into our country that there is no practical way to get rid of them. So eventually they get amnesty or defacto citizenship so that even if they never actually get the legal right to vote, their sheer numbers will count in the census and get more Democrat representation in Congress…You couldn’t care less about how many Americans are murdered by the animals. It’s all about power for Democrats!
But if it makes you feel better to claim you support the principle of deportations then by all means, I wouldn’t want to hurt your feeeelings…
I agree with the practice of them being deported, when it’s done in accordance without laws that allows for due process…yes even understand the emergency declaration of the AEA.
That you cannot see the distinction I and others have repeatedly made is your problem.
Unfortunately that many of you have this problem is going to make it all our problems.
You see it in the Garcia thread (the Maryland guy who was sent to CECOT.) Maybe that’s what precipitated this thread.
We will have thousands of deportations (likely not millions.) Each one with circumstances that can be leveraged will get thoroughly exploited. There won’t be many, but they’ll be elevated to epic tragedy because of this-or-that. Deportation opponents will use every opportunity to throw gravel in the gears.
Yes we have asylum seekers here who have to wait while their case is being decided by the courts.
Rest assured you will not be called a criminal and deported to a prison in EL Salvador.
