Do you believe in Zeus? If not your an atheist in regards to Zeus. How about Odin? Ra? Any other non christian gods? Your an atheist toward all of them to. Only difference between your atheism and mine is that I disbelieve in one more god out of hundreds or thousands of all the man made gods out there than you do.

I’d be more interested in what it would take for an atheist - in my definition someone who believes in no higher power, nowhere - to believe in any God.
I think Someone demonstrating their power so clearly that it could not be misunderstood or misinterpreted would cause me to believe.
…Course whether I"d worship this God after such a demonstration would all depend. If I had actually witnessed the psycho actions of the God of the Old Testament, I certainly wouldn’t feel him worthy of my worship
Yep. It doesn’t have to be much. Maybe like an annual review for 15 seconds. God could pop in during breakfast and be like “keep being you!” then vanish into the air.
Basically what you said. If the God from the bible showed up tomorrow and somehow demonstrated irrefutable proof of his existence I might believe he exists but I wouldn’t worship him because the God described in the bible is a petty, narcissistic, bastard. If he came out and said the bible was lies it would be something to consider though.

A lot of medical stuff could be too easily faked by charlatans. And sometimes there are fluky cases where people just do get better for no apparent reason.

I’m in my church 3 days a week, preparing stuff to help people, and have been doing that for about 6 or 7 years.
Having said that, and watching how religion has been bastardized in the Middle East and the United States to hurt people and to gain power, I’m almost wishing now that religion didn’t exist. I could still help people the same way and those that use religion to hurt people wouldn’t have that ammo.
Since god is omniscient and omnipotent she would know exactly what to do and say to convince you.
