Yowza.

Why don’t you go ahead and read your own OP. and thread, maybe take a nap, and come on back.

Why can’t you post about the article and not the person?

Oh, you mean the people having trouble with “Foreign Fighters” preventing them from having elections? And we have picked Yowaz as legitimate. Therefore, we are entering the war on the Yowza side, right?

I am engaging the person on his responses to the thread. Mind yer business.

Ha. That was good. :grinning: well done.:+1:

Anyway, as per post 8, we will be engaging with the government of national unity.

How can it be the govt. of national unity, If there’s a war going on?

“The govt of of national unity”, lol!

I vote for “the govt of peace, love and puppies” as a better media slogan …

Everyone loves puppies…

Well, if your only issue is nomenclature, I am happy to refer to it as “The Government of Libya”.

Seems like a weird thing to get worked up about, though.

It’s the govt of Libya because we say so? What about the other side of the war?

Are you implying that the U.S. can’t diplomatically engage with a country involved in civil war?

No, I’m implying it will lead to a lot more and look how much we messed it up last time we picked a govt for them.

We didn’t pick their government, we are acknowledging a government they picked for themselves.

Again, you seem to be putting a LOT of weight to a diplomatic mission.

Instead of immediately defaulting to BDS, why not try a “wait and see” attitude for a while?

???I didn’t realize they had elections.

I’m not willing to “wait and see” because I’ve already seen what they did. It’s why the country is in chaos and has been since the Obama/Biden admin bombed it in the first place. Perhaps we should learn from that. It’s not like the sock puppet has different advice than Obama.

Okay, first of all we didn’t cause the chaos in Libya, there was already a full fledged civil war going on. The intervention was multi national in the hopes of preventing the deaths of more civilians. Gaddafi stated that he was going to put the revolt down, and then proceeded to do so. Now: did we make matters worse? I don’t know, and neither do you.

And once again, this is a diplomatic mission, not another military intervention; you seem so worried about the results of our intervention, you should be in favor of first steps to fix what we broke.

So you think the Obama/Biden admin’s and NATO intervention made Libya better?

I don’t know. Gaddafi certainly had the means to rain hell down on his people, and it could have like Syria.

Syria’s civil war is still going on to this very day. Over 10 years now.

how much legitimacy can one man have!

the “intervention” was an unconstitutional and unlawful invasion of a foriegn nation and Obama should be charged with a war crime for every death.

Nonsense. The U.N. gives him the legal cover, and the president has wide latitude in use of force.

when did the UN become the body that could lawfully order US forces to invade anything?

its not

no he doesn’t, the idea that he does is a purposeful misreading of the war powers act which completely ignores section 5.

all of the verbage used to support the authority is taken from the section of the law regarding reporting requirements, not authorization.

under the WPA the President does NOT have authority to introduce US forces into combat without either congressional authorization, treaty requirements (which all caveat authorization), or to repel or prevent invasion (which can be widely interpreted).
