Putin has often been called a terrible person on this message board by conservatives. There have been differences between cons and libs on how most effectively to understand and deal with him.

Not sure we’ve seen any conservative poster in this thread calling Putin terrible. Maybe I missed it.

Not sure that’s true. It’s a lot more of a facade. Though it was doing ok before the sanctions. However the bigger issue remains that the country as a whole is shrinking down to Moscow and at Petersburg, those are becoming the only places outside of the Far East where there is any kind of an economy

It’s been 30 days. I don’t think there is a clear picture of anything being handled.

I believe so. But he is abusing it and I believe he is using it incorrectly/Badly/terribly/illegally what ever negative adjectives you want. Strong leader can also be a bad leader. Strong leader and Good leader are not synonymous.

I would also say a strong leader can be a good or bad leader but a weak leader can never be a good leader.

I understand all the nuance, but simply put, if someone asked me if Putin was a strong leader, I would say no because strong has positive connotations.
