Here’s how I open the OP:

As someone who strongly believes in logic, facts and common sense I can completely understand the rationale behind things like universal healthcare, unionization, marginal tax rates, etc., and do acknowledge that there is legitimate debate on the merits of such things. What I can’t for the life of me understand why people would support something that has no basis in logic or science, can cause tremendous harm (specifically to children), and whose damage is irreversible?

The only science that was brought up related to this was a brief discussion of those born with intersex traits.

Most people are quite willing to let people live whatever fantasy lives they choose. Its when they starting hurting children that the state can draw limits. Why do you think every state has a Child Protective Services?
Its when they start forcing their fantasy on others that people become involved. When they want to disrupt womens sports or barge into womens showers. That becomes the conscern.
I agree. Let them choose their own life but don’t tell me I have to pretend with them. That is none of their business.

I remember when conservatives were all about live and let live. Man, has that been swept under the rug! I gotta ask: if you’d been made aware of gender fluidity would you have suddenly decided to become the opposite gender? As for sports, though, I will agree that transgender males should not be playing against females in sports where being male gives an advantage. That natural testosterone boost is always gonna be a thing.
