Adhering to the principle outlined in the OP, there would have been only one Benghazi inquiry.
Yeah. 9/11 had multiple investigations outside the FBI. More recently, Benghazi had 10 separate investigations. The FBI, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, five separate House committee investigations, State Department accountability review board, Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, and the infamous House Select Committee. Seems like the FBI is more than enough in this situation. The same FBI that has been vilified for the last 4 years by Republicans because they don’t think it treated Trump appropriately and is part of the “deep state.”
