Here are the three main reasons why I am Not voting for Trump.
-
Trump believes that Article 2 gives him the right to do whatever he wants as President. He doesn’t really understand the Constitution and is an authoritarian.
-
Trump and his administration have broken laws and ignored the Constitution separation of powers.
-
The courts. Trump has already nominated a lot of people to the courts. Trump has nominated two people to the Supreme Court. I want Biden to nominate Ginsburg’s replacement for the Supreme Court.

Well I disagree with his positions on foreign policy and. .nah, I’m just kidding, the man is fundamentally unfit for the office of the presidency on a staggering number of levels.

Ok, here we go
- He doesn’t demonstrate a respect for the dignity of the office of the presidency
- He started demeaning people very early in his campaign and has only gotten worse over time.
- He shows an unwillingness to learn the intricacies and complexities of dealing in both domestic and foreign policy. This has harmed the US at home and abroad.
- Related to # 2, he has insulted POW’s and other military personnel in the past. I come from a family of military personnel, including a grandfather who was a POW. I recall him screaming in the middle of the night while reliving those nightmares in his dreams. This is a particularly important reason for me, and this alone would have determined that I never would cast a vote for Trump.
- His silly trade wars could have been handled through agreements we already had in place without the need to disrupt our supply chains.
- He has been a divider rather than a uniter. Whoever sits at that desk needs to be an individual capable of bringing people together to get stuff done. That’s not Trump.
- He has shown a major lack of leadership throughout the Covid crisis. This has been a particularly nasty problem, leading to over 170,000 deaths so far.
- His lack of leadership on Covid is keeping people unemployed and slowing down the economy.
There are others, but I think this covers the major points.

I can sum it up like this: Because he is a terrible person.
Trump is undeserving of my vote.

He has zero positions on foreign policy.
At least none that are his own.
Even if all this were true ( and it isn’t), it would still not be a good enough reason to switch to socialism.
and none that are consistent on a day to day basis.
Nailed it! Excellent post!

Because I know far too much about pathological narcissists. They are incapable of considering things outside themselves when making decisions, regardless of the consequences to others.
