  1. Yes, first amendment rights should always be supported. What does that have to do with tweeting “LIBERATE insert state” like a maniac ?
  2. I have expressed concerns about protests
  3. I don’t see anyone trying to take away freedom of speech or assembly. But again …
  4. Freedom of speech and assembly has nothing to do with tweeting “LIBERATE insert state”. The most powerful person in the world tweeting that to his 80+ million followers while in the middle of lockdown signifies what exactly ?

Trump tweets sometimes when he should just be silent.
But in my view it implies that he agrees that the voters of that state have every right to tell their elected official’s that they are going to far. That he stands with them and supports them.

When I seen Anthony Fauci said that New York did everything right on FOX news…I knew right there that that guy is a ■■■■■■■ idiot and reason why we failed so badly.

For me that was turning point. I have really criticizes him at all during this entire time.

He was without a doubt the weakest link.

BS. Look at the east coast states. Those folks with both D and R Governors worked together when they got slammed. And they fought through it and flattened the curve. And then they worked together and opened slowly and with control.
Now take some states ran by R Governors who would not work with the D’s. Who have said that the Mayors can not make their own rules about mask wearing and social distancing. Where are they at?
And now some of those R Governors are realizing that they blew it and are backtracking big time.
I will admit that out in California where I thought they were being careful, the virus got the best of them.
But Newsom was working with both sides.
And it had nothing to do with the D’s not willing to work with them.
The guys in the east states didn’t make it political and are winning.
Trump and many of the Republican Governors are getting killed in the polls because of this.

You are lucky that you live in a area that is clean.
I am sure that your life is a lot easier.
I am in a area that is exploding with cases.
And with my health problems it is keeping me a hermit.
And it is a horrible thing when you go out and your foremost thought is that everyone you see might give you a virus that will kill you. It is a strange feeling.

Seems to me that Governors have a little more power than mayors.
And the only thing I remember is R Governors telling D Mayors that they can say everyone must wear a mask but they could not fine and jail people for not wearing a mask.
I know people want the US to be like China where citizens fear the government and are afraid to protest rules they feel are wrong. But the leftist have not gotten there yet.
So the D mayors should have worked with the R governors and realized that fines and jail were a step to far.
I would not be crowing about the east to much. Things have a way of changing fast.
I don’t put much faith in polls. They usually don’t mean a whole lot.

They didn’t get a chance. The governors of those states did not call to get their opinion or work with them.
The mayors in multiple states came out with statements expressing the reasons for their actions.
It was to protect people.
The Governors used the excuse that they could not enforce it. So it could not be done.
There was not wanting to work with the Democrats, ever!
