The same mistakes made during Spanish flu pandemic in 1918-1920 here in America mirror the mistakes we’re doing right now. There is a really good documentary that came out a couple of years ago. The comparisons between now and then are very similar and the common denominator was piss poor leadership, ignoring warnings from public health officials/doctors/scientist and reopening back to normalcy too soon.

That is the problem with being a leader. You are responsible for the bad that happens and you are responsible for the good that doesn’t happen…But if good things happen, you are simply doing your job. So you work your ass off to make sure that bad things don’t happen and when they do, you work even harder to make sure you get it fixed as quickly as you can.

This is where I have seen Trump fail. If he is responsible all around…then you never take off, you never give in, you never disappear, you work and you work and you work until it is taken care of.

The death rate for children is like 0.02%

that is 14,000 kids.

I’m sorry, but the ideal is an intact family unit, including elderly, and infirm, together.
This whole me, me, me, thing.
Come on, little ones will interact with the older, and compromised ones.
This ain’t “Soylent Green” yet baby.

Thank you. What did he actually say about the masks?

Remember when he embarrassed himself so badly with that disinfectant nonsense that he didn’t want to hold court at the COVID briefings so he just ended them? Because if he couldn’t joust with the press what was the point? Real leadership.

Link?

If Republicans weren’t now inexorably tied to the votes of and thus quietly somewhat beholden to the crazy conspiracy wackos, they would be able to encourage their voters to suck it up for a few months, buckle down, wear a mask, keep distance, wash your hands. They weren’t able to do that because of the stupid “freedom” narrative and it hit Florida and Georgia specifically in the ass.

The reason America is ■■■■■■■ this up so bad is because half of the country belong to a party who couldn’t get their head out of their ass for 5 seconds and treat a serious thing like serious adults should. Now we are at 140,000 dead people and they STILL CANT.

Except for the fact that during that entire time Trump was telling people not to wear masks and not to ■■■■ down and to fight against the lockdown. And the Republicans did.

Pay wall.

Maybe the rain will stop.

President Donald Trump told The Wall Street Journal that he believes that some Americans are wearing masks during the coronavirus pandemic to express their disapproval of him and not as a preventive measure

The president also said his issue with masks was that people sometimes touch them, increasing the risk of infection.

He went on to say he thought that “testing is overrated,”

If this were as partisan as you say, then only red states/counties would be in bad shape.

i have no idea what you just said here

No.

All it takes is a handful of people not taking this seriously to spread it. Viruses are annoying like that.

First of all, no he didn’t do that the “entire time”. Second, it’s still up to people like you and me to be responsible and socially distance no matter what Trump says.

Kid goes to school catches virus goes home and gets grandma sick.

oh ok

that wont happen

Children?
The idea isn’t to let Grandma get sick from little jimmy’s juice box, right?
Right?
