No discussions occurred between WHO and the CDC about providing tests to the United States, WHO spokesperson Tarik Jasarevic told CNN on Tuesday, and WHO did not offer coronavirus tests to the CDC.

The United States, Jasarevic confirmed, doesn’t ordinarily rely on WHO for tests because the US typically has the capacity to manufacture its own diagnostics.

I don’t understand what you need explained. We don’t spend a trillion dollars a year on HHS as a practical joke. The CDC and the NIH are supposed to take the lead roles in combating a pandemic. That’s been the protocol forever. And they didn’t.

Lead what? They told Trump he needed hospital ships, huge hospital tents, military personnel, 40k ventilators and masks. What did he do? What was the result?
