Ask the town council, it was their decision.
Not sure why they are giving into deez nuts, but they sure seem to be all in handling them.
Iām not following.
Who can say. Maybe on its face there was no issue politically, but the town council is thinking of probable outcomes. Say they decide to allow the flag for fallen officers - a noble idea, who could be against it? But soon someone wants a second flag, this time to honor fallen soldiers. Equally noble, and hard to say no if youāve already allowed the first flag. Soon everyone wants a flag displayed - honoring first responders, honoring teachers, honoring POWs.
For 13 years now Iāve worked in an industry that has a unionized workforce. If thereās one thing Iāve learned from dealing with that itās that people never fully evolve past the toddler mentality of āHow come HE gets to and I canāt?ā Maybe this decision of the town council is not the result of nefarious libs refusing to see cops honored, but an attempt to head off a bigger headache down the road when people invariably start complaining about their wants not being addressed.
āThis is why we canāt have nice things.ā
