Gibberish.
I am no more fearful of finding myself in a situation where I might need a gun than I am of finding myself in a situation where I’ll need a jack and spare tire or a first aid kit.
I don’t carry because I’m in fear. If you carry because you expect trouble you need to be somewhere else to start with.
You people are so consumed with your own fears you can’t help but project them on others.

I’m sure you realize that the word “fear” is just another rhetorical arrow in the liberal quiver. They think that it wounds us when they accuse us of living in fear, whether the discussion be about guns or about some wacko liberal politician.
I don’t. After years of observation I’m convinced it’s projection.
They live in fear constantly as expressed by their own rhetoric and they project it onto us.

I’m basing my observation on the frequent use of the word in inappropriate circumstances … like when they accuse conservatives of being afraid of AOC.

I can’t, I don’t know. I have a gun.
The more you protest the more fearful you sound. You might feel liberated by leaving your guns at home next time you venture out.
You throw the troll accusation around a lot. Is it because you are losing the debate?
I’m simply speaking the truth, something you obviously cannot handle or you would not have to resort to such tactics.
I have seen you over the years call a lot of people Trolls. It follows a well worn Wildrose pattern. You dont always have to have the last word.
I use it when it’s appropriate.
Stop projecting your own fears and faults onto others and perhaps it won’t fit so often.

Not as often as you throw the fear accusation around.
I own a lot of guns, but I don’t carry.
I tried it once and it was an interesting experience.
I felt like because I was carrying there must be ‘someone’ out there.
I didn’t like that extra stress so I didn’t do it again.
I couldn’t care less if others carry (some of my friends do) as long as they’re responsible.
It takes a while for people to get comfortable with carrying and often depending on your state laws it’s more of a pain in the ass than it’s worth.
Fortunately in Texas it’s not a big deal and becomes less of a big deal every year.
Exactly as many of us predicted the more exposure people get to others going about their daily lives carrying and minding their own business the public has become more and more accepting of it.
In other states the restrictions are such that it’s more trouble than it’s worth for most people and where open carry isn’t legal and you can be arrested for simply “printing” the freak out factor is rather high and LEO’s can be rather tight assed about it.
I wasn’t clear but I meant concealed carry.
I just don’t want the stress of carrying, but I don’t care if other responsible people do.
As for open carry, that depends entirely on the environment.
I got into a long discussion with Sneaky about that years ago.
I made many trips to Houston in the last ten years and I never saw anyone openly carrying (except cops).
You won’t see a whole lot of people really openly carrying in the big cities but OC being legal has reduced a whole lot of the stress associated with concealed carry.
We already had allowances for unintentionally revealing your concealed weapon and no “printing” issues but now there’s even less reason to worry about an unintentional “reveal”.
Whether I’m carrying openly or not mostly depends on the weather.
You live in a rural area where OC is just accepted.
As I debated with Sneaky it’s all about location.
Who wants to see a guy open carrying an AR-15 in the Space Needle elevator?
I got my CPL mostly for convenience in buying handguns and more legal protection if I’m ever stopped while transporting my firearms.

We’re discussing handguns here. OC of handguns has been legal for two years now in TX.
The group that protests around the state with OC of long guns aren’t helping our cause. Legally and constitutionally they are in the right but from a PR aspect they are wrong.
My argument with Sneaky wouldn’t change whether it’s a long gun or hand gun.
It’s all about the geography.
