Whoopie Goldberg is a Dumbass

I don’t know why I single her out, other than Sean just played yet another one of her moronic statements about n his show.

Sean was talking about how bad the economy is due to Bidenomics and how people can’t afford houses due to high interest rates. He showed those Liberty geniuses on the view and Whoopies answer was GO OUT AND GET A JOB!! YOU’RE YOUNG, GO GET A JOB AND WORK FOR A HOUSE, I COULDN’T AFFORD A HOUSE WHEN I WAS YOUNG EITHER!! Naturally the other intellectual giants on the show echoed her sentiments, and their audience, by their applause, obviously regard them as sages due to the wisdom dispensed by Whoopie and company.

But wait a minute Whoopie. Don’t you, like an exemplary Lib believe that everyone who wants to work is already working and doing their Communist best to do so for the good of society? So if they’re already working, why do you spout idiocy like go get a job? Now I know what you’re thinking here… You’re thinking obviously there aren’t enough JOBS to go around, we’re at 3.8% unemployment! You can’t blame people for not working when there aren’t enough jobs for everyone who wants to work!

But wait a minute Whoopie. If there aren’t enough jobs to go around for Americans who want to work so they can buy a house, why in the hell do you support bringing in countless millions of people from other countries who then take jobs from Americans who want to work to buy a house. Now I know what you’re thinking here… You’re thinking that obviously the millions of illegals er, I mean MIGRANTS are here do do our menial work like picking vegetables and wait tables that Americans won’t do. They are not taking those high paying jobs that pay enough so that people can buy a house.

But wait a minute Whoopie. Why don’t Americans who want to buy a house, who can’t find one job that pays enough to buy a house work a second job? Now I know what you’re thinking here… You’re thinking Americans shouldn’t have to do menial work at all in one job, let alone two. Americans are entitled to a basic standard of living and that should be provided without having to resort to work, let alone menial work. Again that’s what the menials are for!

But wait a minute Whoopie. If all the menial jobs are being filled by MIGRANTS so that Americans can stay home and not work and still receive a basic income, HOW DOES ANYONE IN AMERICA EVER ACQUIRE ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY A HOUSE? Now I know what you’re thinking here… You’re thinking we need to tax the rich more and make THEM pay for the he basic incomes that non working Americans are receiving! They’re not paying their fair share!!

But wait a minute Whoopie. YOU’RE RICH. Why aren’t you paying your fair share?

SHUT THE HELL UP YOU RACIST, XENOPHOBIC, HOMOPHOBIC, MISOGYNISTIC, TRUMP SUPPORTING MAGA LOVING HATE FILLED BASTARD!! Now I know what you’re thinking here…

I have been ignoring headline feeds about this. I don’t see the problem here. Is that what Woopie actually said? I would say the same thing. What’s the problem with her statement?

For just plain stupid you can’t top Whoopi and Joyless Behar.

Although i tend to agree at least a little about working for a house.

Work AND save your money.

That’s how i used to do it. Work save the money and pay off the house as quickly as possible.

Took me 7 years with my 1st house.

My post wasn’t specific to the OP but just regarding the entire cast of The View. They are absolutely stupid.

That said, it takes many years to save for a house. I am the overall budgeter in our family and realized that we couldn’t afford a house. What we first purchased was a townhouse. After 9 years together and saving all along the way, we were able to buy our first house. Life is very tough and requires a lot of personal sacrifices of your wants, to be able to afford your needs. So many among us just can not manage their finances and say no to spending money on wants.

Wow. Sounds like the sort of statements right wingers were ridiculed for 40 years ago.

Right so then what’s the problem with her statement

It’s idiotic. Its sole purpose is to let Bidenomics off the hook.

Why is it idiotic? It’s the exact same thing that’s been said over and over again by your side including telling people to move to an area where they can afford housing and lower cost of living

The interest were higher during the bush admin when the right was shouting form the rafters about the lazy millennials who should go get a job and afford houses later in life

The only difference is who is saying it. That’s what you guys don’t like.

Precisely. I was heavily involved in the GOP back then, and I was cheered on by fellow republicans right here on this board for saying the exact same thing. They just don’t like who said it as you noted.

The cast of the View are indeed stupid but Whoopi and Behar take the cake.

Never will forget Whoopi saying “They should make Jill Biden Surgeon General because she’s one hell of a medical Doctor”.

“My side” has never said that. Perhaps you are confused as to whom is “my side”.
“My side” is not the side that told a lot of soon to be unemployed coal miners they needed to go learn to code.

This is a ludicrous position for you to take. To deny decades of mantra.

The fact that the left said something about coal miners learning to code doesn’t change the simple fact that get a job do better in life buy a house in an area you can afford is something that is still said over and over by your side

Quote me as sayin somewhere the high cost of housing was due to young people expecting too much too soon. At most, you might find a quote of mine where I wondered how people could afford first time houses at the current prices, which is kind of the opposite.

Nobody has ever said that because that’s not what’s being discussed. Primarily because that doesn’t make any sense - for expectations to drive price of housing upwards.

Then quote me using whatever mantra you imagine I said for decades. Let’s hear it.

Your side is the one who said that, not “my side”. As far as the statement goes, it is good advice as far as it goes except when it buries the fact that in a certain economy it may not be practical. House inflation may outpace the inflation of salaries, making this a more difficult solution for more people. Your side should be more nuanced.
