Absolutely there is evidence it would be a terrible way to cut down on illegal border crossings.
How many lives will be saved, how much will trafficking be reduced, and how much will drug addiction be reduced by spending billions of dollars in initial and recurring costs on a wall? What will the cost be per life saved and addiction averted? If you can’t answer that question, or the answer is ridiculously high, you haven’t justified the wall as a “solution”.
Oh, so you want to shoot them now? That’s really not a good look.
Which modern border wall is considered a failure in reduction of illegal border crossings? I am not seeing these numbers in any of the countries that have them only a decrease and in Hungary and Israel a massive decrease in illlegal crossings over 90%.
