As to the officer, perhaps he was shielding his body from the mob by taking a position of cover? We know there were no guns in the mob AFTER the event but DURING it I can understand an officer playing it safe.

If what took place in Minnesota, where buildings were burned to the ground, businesses were ransacked, looted and destroyed was described as a “mostly peaceful protest”, then applying that same standard, what took place on January the 6th were people were simply holding hands and singing Kumbayah?

If BLM/ANTIFA ever got that many people into the Capitol, Supreme Court Building, or White House, and were breaking through doors and windows and chasing/threatening a bunch fleeing political officials, staff, and security, who had retreated to protect themselves: OF COURSE someone’s probably getting shot, or worse. JFC.

@Samm , Byrd shot out of fear. Probably did not do well in some aspects of his live fire training. This will stay with him forever. I am not defending him and believe that a real investigation should have taken place. This tragity is for Ms Babbitts family and for America.
