Thread title is a bit obscure but…
Trump said that he wanted to “drain the swamp”. His supporters use the phrase often. The “dry land” in the thread title is what is left after the swamp is drained.
That’s a cute metaphor for taking power away from “the washington elite” and giving it to good deserving people.
My question is not about the swamp creatures who have lost power, but about the dry land creatures who have gotten it.
Under Trump, which non-elites have gained power?
You won’t find any answers here. Those that would support Trump don’t care who gets the power after the swamp is drained. Those who don’t want the swamp drained, don’t care because the swamp will never be drained. It may drawl down a little bit, but it will never drain. It’s Washington. It will never truly change. Besides he can’t drain the swamp…ONLY THE PEOPLE CAN DRAIN THE SWAMP. That is what Trump and his supporters will never truly understand. It takes the voting public to drain the swamp. NOT one man!
Trump himself is a perfect example of a non-elite gaining power during his administration.
This is a oxymoron.

Also, because of all the godly men trump has put in his administration you could say that God Himself is one of the non-elites that has gained power under the Trump administration.
That “cute metaphor” actually originated with Nancy Pelosi who came up with the phrase against Republicans and conservatives that has now been “Trumped” by the GOP! 
Enough of the voting public did vote in 2016, it’s called the Electoral College victory for President Donald Trump. And although “one man” can’t reverse the creeping socialism damage of the past 80 years Trump is certainly “one of kind” and has a great start in reversing a lot of the damage of the past 10-15 years.

Trump has money but he’s not elite. He’s always wanted to be elite but was shunned by the Manhattan elitists because he’s from the wrong side of town. He’s had that chip on his shoulder his entire life.
I wasn’t talking about the presidential election. Man you guys are sensitive. I am saying trump can’t drain the swamp of congress and poor state leadership. HE CAN’T he doesn’t have the power to.
