One grand fictional conspiracy.

Would the affidavit, a written statement confirmed by oath or affirmation, for use as evidence in a judicial proceeding, not strengthen the book? A simple sworn statement that the contents of the book are true?

Maybe we should impeach him for it? Or at least hire Bobby Mueller to look into it for two years?

Bolton was ready to testify, but has been silent since the acquittal.
Want to know more about what really happened? You can pre order the book on Amazon. Hurry. He would naturally want to tell it all right now, but why destroy a good cliff hanger…and all those dollars.

Without an affidavit, a written statement confirmed by oath or affirmation, for use as evidence in a judicial proceeding, how can we believe the contents of the book are true?

Not if he lied in the book.

Not sure that is the main purpose of the book.

To tell the truth? What else could it be?

$ oh how naive $
People can chose to believe what they want from the book. Its all a political issue now, as it should have been from the beginning. Still, no allegation of illegal activity, unless you count the possible noncompliance with a civil statute.
Leave it to Nov.
My guess it will be way down there on the list of important things.

John Bolton is 72 years old and worth $6MM, what does he need more money for?

At what point did Bill Gates stop?
Hey…I’m 71. I’m not dead yet, Id take a few more million.
I’m not saying he’s lying, I’m saying why would he not be talking now? Schiff, or so I read, asked him to talk after the trial and he declined. I just see the main reason is likely that he had rather people read about it in his book.

Schiff asked him for an affidavit, a written statement confirmed by oath or affirmation, for use as evidence in a judicial proceeding. He refused.
After they voted to be the first impeachment trial in history without witnesses, we did approach John Bolton’s counsel, asked if Mr. Bolton would be willing to submit an affidavit under oath describing what he observed in terms of the president’s Ukraine misconduct, and he refused," Schiff told MSNBC Wednesday night on “The Rachel Maddow Show.”
Bolton used to be a hot topic around here…

Perhaps Bolton does not see himself as on the same crusade as Schiff.

Perhaps he knows when to fold a losing hand.

Like acquiring more guns, need has very little to do with it.
History will not look kindly on Trump and the Republican Senators that voted against witnesses in Trump’s impeachment trial in the Senate.
Why do you think he refused?

The only reason I can think of is he understands the meaning of the word “perjury”.
