But simply out of curiosity, do specific cancer awareness groups make you angry because they don’t focus on the other cancers that destroy lives?

If the Lymphoma Foundation were just named Cancer Foundation and then only focused on lymphoma, then your point would be valid. Same with breast Cancer Foundation. Etc.

Black Lives is a rather clear and defined phrase. I know you know that. Why choose to defend the obvious disconnect between the name and the issues they riot and loot over?

I have been playful with the shoeple, regurgibleet, , crap because it’s really hard to have an actual honest discussion when you just throw that stupid ■■■■ out non stop. It’s very frustrating and does not help this forum.

I very much care about the violence in inner cities. And support all groups that work constantly to fight it. Including the many BLM groups that do work to that end. I get very frustrated with people who seem determined to not educate themselves about the BLM movement. And there are often very racial reasons why some people choose not to and come back with silly “all lives matter” or “why aren’t they focusing on other issues it’s in their name” ■■■■■■■■■ It’s just something to bitch about for a lot of people in their political tribal mentality. I honestly hope you are not one of these people. If you care, work to help. Anonymously bitching about BLM not getting your approval isn’t going to do it.

What great thing did Floyd ever accomplish?

He’s not being remembered for any great things he’s accomplished.

He has been put on a pedestal as was pointed out in the OP. Been memorialized, had a street named after him. Had members of Congress take a knee and bow to him in reverence. The third most powerful person in the country has said we all should thank him for sacrificing his life for us.

Clearly there are now many people who view George Floyd with what I see as religious devotion. Just look at his funeral:

I couldn’t help but to wonder does every black person get that kind of funeral? He also has a memorial, a street named after him and of course there was Nancy Pelosi’s comment regarding him sacrificing his life for us. I couldn’t help but to wonder if he is a modern day Jesus?

I have personally found this whole thing as clearly bizarre and honestly disturbing when one thinks about this logically. To be fair I am the type of person views the obsessive reverence of any human being as disturbing, whether it’s an athlete, actor, musician, politician, etc. Is such type of reverence really healthy behavior? Has anyone here taken the time to really get to know who George Floyd was? Have you tried read as much about his life as possible?
