That wasn’t the argument at all. The argument was that walls don’t work and the wall was going to do damage to the environment. Plus, all of the eminent domain issues hadn’t been worked out.

Moreover, electronic monitoring would be more effective AND cheaper.

And finally soft power (a concept that you guys hate so, so much) would alleviate the “push factors” that would reduce the need for all the rest of it.

US taxpayer Healthcare costs of illegal immigrants is about 20 Billion per year. Factor in education, housing, meals, etc., I’m sure that would more than double that yearly number.

Democrats always pretend to be “moderates” during election cycles, so it should be accepted that they’ll always lie and do whatever they damn well please once they’re in office. They’ll never abandon the authoritarian green energy push or bolster law enforcement, nor do they care if the nation is in decline because of said policies. It’s never bad policy, it’s always “we’re not messaging correctly.”

I was going to post how every political candidate does what you described no matter which party they are affiliated with. But there are these new MAGA candidates that are going full tilt Trump. And the ones who reside in Trump territory will survive. And IMHO the ones who are not in Trump territory will fail.
