You didn’t mention a flag in that post you said you will defend that persons right to act like an idiot……
Making fun - act
Of someone - idiot.
Like me! Where is my defense???
THIS thread is about white supremacist terrorism. The thread has been derailed by cross dressing/trans. If I were in charge, I’d move the derailment. Maybe to the Pizza Hut thread?

I think that we have established that men in costume entertaining children are not the issue.
The issue is that the costume is queer.
And queerness has the perception of sexual predation whether that predation is true or not.
That is the problem.
So do you think that those who want to wear their queerness on their sleeve feel that they are served by showing that they are not sexual predators and that their queerness is nothing to be afraid of?

It got derailed because white supremacist fascists were gong to terrorize a gay pride event and some saw that as not the worst thing to happen… because think of the children.

I’m not afraid. I’m a grown adult but stay out of the sandbox of children. My friend…in all things, evaluate the risk and the reward. What’s the reward in this case and is it worth the risk?

Define what the risk is.
I haven’t seen an argument past the idea that some think that drag queens are icky.

The risk is when adults attempt to present another adult, being sexually provocative and presenting themselves as the opposite sex, as being a norm in our society. Children have enough to deal with on their road to maturing into an adult and the responsibilities that come with the sex they were born with, that they do not need this additional confusion. There is no reward in promoting this.

How is that a risk? It’s drag. It is as old as time.
It isn’t going to make kids gay no more than any other generation was not made gay by having actors, cartoons or any other entertainers do drag.
This is a moral panic. No more… no less.

…and so is sex itself but not for children.

How should we teach children to perceive LGBTQ people?

Parents understand. Not parents can sit in the bleachers.
It’s the New Sensibility.

We already let radical feminism ruin a couple of generations of male children.

“We”? Are you co-parenting my children?

Why do you feel the need to introduce this to children in the first place? They aren’t discerning LGBTQ…adults are. As they mature, somewhere around the 9th grade and a sexual education is being taught, explain what each is and do so in a way, absent of any hate.

Girls have their first period in 6th grade and you want to shelter kids from sex ed until 9th?
And you think kids aren’t going to know about LGBTQ people until then either?
Some people’s ideas about what kids do and do not know, and at what age, quite frankly makes me wonder if they lived in a cave when they were raising theirs.
And you’ve already admitted you don’t want LGBTQ being thought of as normal so I’m not sure in what way they can be taught about “without hatred” if you are starting from the point that there’s something wrong with them.

Maybe it is that they are gay and the stigma around it is lifting so they don’t have to act like they are not?

Then why mostly lib kids? Not seeing it in lib adults. You really think 40% of liberals are authentically lbqtetc?

Read what you just wrote.
That is not a public school issue. That is a mother’s responsibility.

“Gay” is an emotion. It comes and goes.
