I am going to take a page out of this forum and moot it could be a false flag operation by the right to make the left look bad (joking before anyone kicks off).

Anyone who does any sort of damage or violent attacks are not representing me and hurt any political opposition more than help it.

It is interesting though … a mere handful out of several thousand protesters committed acts of violence and/or destruction in the Capitol on January 6, 2021, yet your ilk condemned (and many continue to condemn) everyone who even thought about donning a MAGA hat as a domestic terrorist.

If I had a Tesla or EV I would only use it for a long journey if charging infrastructure meant getting a charge is as convenient as filling up with petrol.

To be fair the right were just as opposed to Musk before his polticial conversion as those on the left supported him.

This sudden conversion to EVs by the right is laughable. As is Hannity buying a Tesla when all he has done is criticize EVs for years.

I still admire Musks big picture projects, the advancement of alternative transport methods, space exploration, pushing the boundaries of medical technology with neuralink but he is not creating that technology but rather facilitating it.

His name is on less than 1% of his companies patents which reinforces his role as visionary. Which is not to be discounted or downplayed.

Again why does it have to be all or nothing with Trump supporters.

How did you conclude that? EVs are absolutely stupid if the goal is to stop global warming? They are doing more damage than they are good in that respect.

Chevrolet just came out with an EV Silverado and I must say…it’s very cool. I’d refer to it as the Corvette of trucks. As they depreciate quickly due to a lack of demand, I’d consider buying one at the right price. They really are that cool.

But because we are still talking about transporting 1-5 humans (1 far more often than not) with a multi-ton vehicle, which is a ridiculous waste of energy.

We need to be careful with this. The FBI defines terrorism as

The unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.

Its dangerous for a society to start expanding this because that then leads to turning criminals into terrorists which in turn gives government a lot more latitude in how to deal with “crime”.

Without any overt membership of an organization that publicly endorses violence to further a political agenda or individuals charged with these crimes making political statements coupled with endorsement of violence, I would think a charge of terrorism would be difficult to prove.

Remember if we start to loosen what constitutes a terrorist there will come a point when there is an administration that you (collectively) will not agree with and these same loosened definitions could be used to target opponents.

If history continues to repeat itself, the technology is changing so fast that the manufacturers stop supporting it when they’ve developed something they deem new and better. What this does is further depreciate the electric vehicle so much that a repair or a battery replacement cost exceeds the value of the vehicle and it’s now…junk. The damage done in creating it and now disposing of it far exceeds any good it did for the cause of global warming.

Statements aren’t always about YOU (specifically). They’re about your camp. Sometimes people say “you (generic)” but they shouldn’t have to.

You (specifically) are pumping the talking points from your camp. Broadbrush responses to those points are inevitable. And they’re poignant. The fact that YOU (specifically) didn’t endorse something that came from your camp doesn’t mean it didn’t come from your camp.

They should. The examples used in the infamous letter from the school board (aided by the White House) included actual threats and also spreading what the school board considered misinformation on line, or accusations of the school using critical race theory.
