While We Slept... They Did What They Do

“Why is it that we can create new money for defense spending, but when it comes to investing in our communities, the only way Congress can make a deal is by taking that same life saving American Rescue Plan money away from our communities?” Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.), another progressive, said in a statement. “We cannot turn our backs on the progress this money is intended to fund.”

Great question.

The omnibus package includes about $14 billion in emergency funding to boost humanitarian, security and economic assistance for Ukraine and central European allies in response to the Russian invasion — as lawmakers on both sides of the push for more support to Ukraine.

Why?

Here we are, fighting our way out of a lockdown from hysteria, and these yahoos are pissing away our money.

The bill would spend over $100 billion on Green New Deal initiatives, and advance “racial justice” through Department of Agriculture programs.

The Woke Green Dream. Agriculture? Amazing.

But Corona Funding is critical…

Because the lawmakers in Washington are addicted to spending.

When this is the methodology used to pass a bill, that the majority of those who voted for it did not have the time to actually do their due diligence and read it plus the other side of the aisle was totally excluded from the process and it’s a spending bill that exceeds a TRILLION DOLLARS…our country is on a very bad, DEAD END course. “We” can’t go on like this my fellow Americans. All of us should be united against this. Are “we”?

It seems that it has become impossible to fund our government without including some kind of “crisis” money. We are already almost halfway through the fiscal year that just got funded. They should have already been working on the funding for FY 2023 and they should only be allowed to do it by approving the 12 annual funding bills. This combining them in anyway is bad enough, but then to go and add way more stuff under the guise to fund the government is crazy.

You. Don’t. Care. Except when you think you can glean political advantage. I watched you cheer blowing a hole in the debt for a tax break you’ll literally never see to benefit hedge funds, don’t tell me how fiscally responsible you are.

Good. Bring back horsetrading.

To me?

No.

To others. Probably.

The arguments never change…only thing that changes who is arguing what side.

That depends on whether globalist Dems plus globalist Republicans amount to more than 50% of congress and of the Senate.
