Which Monuments, Which Cities?

Democrat candidate Kim Olson running in Texas’s 24th Congressional District which covers the suburbs of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex…:

“what the hell you got snipers on the roof for in a peaceful march? Even if people loot, so what? Burn it to the ground, you know, if that’s what it’s going to take to fix our nation. She added “I don’t think people want me to say that.”

A vast majority of people care about the lives of law enforcement officers. People can also differentiate between a chosen profession and a race you are born into.

Morons.

We all knew it to be a BS claim when it was made, I just didn’t think it worthy of a reply at all.

That’s one private citizen’s opinion. Shall we lump all Trump supporters in with the fired FedEx employee who put his knee on a neck and yelled “‘Black Lives Matter’ to no one”?

sounds deplorable to me

It was a BS claim when you made it, we all knew that. Don’t now try moving the goalposts.

NO ONE is pro arson or looting.

Just a taste of your turn from a couple hours ago:

No, not even close. Try again.

Well clearly they targeted and destroyed confederate monuments because the confederacy fought to keep slavery alive. Which monuments are of people who were traitors to our country that you want to destroy?

They could not be traitors to a country they were no longer a part of.

How may post war convictions for Treason of Confederates were there?

I don’t care. If you are hung up on the word traitors you can use enemy instead… same idea. Which monuments do you want to target for destruction?

It’s a word with specific meaning and you of course dodged the question.

Read my post again, I didn’t make any suggestions I asked the question which we should target.

What monuments should we deface and destroy?

Reading Is Fundamental.

So now Lincoln statues are in their crosshairs? There seems to be nothing these idiot leftists won’t support destroying. The libs must really believe Independents are drawn to this destructive behavior so much so, that they’ll run to the polls to vote for their left causes (riots, defund police, & burn businesses to the ground).

With all of these positive behaviors, how could all Americans folks NOT clamor for more?

We would be people who actually recognize that All Lives Matter and that what has been done and is being done to this country by political opportunists using the death of George Floyd and now possibly Rayshard Brooks to advance a political agenda of death, violence, intimidation, and division is sick, destructive, and needs to stop.

The liberal left and it’s henchmen never cease to disappoint…just when I don’t think leftists can sink any lower they do.

You should share your theory with all the people of both genders, multiple races and religions, who’ve seen their life savings and lives work burned to the ground, neighborhoods vandalized, community monuments ripped to the ground, local law enforcement officers killed or injured…

I m sure they would love to hear how NO ONE is pro arson or looting. Obviously that’s not true because it’s happened nightly for pushing a month now.

Only the socialist control freak left could take a nation that was completely unified…there was data that something like 96% of the people of this country were sickened by George Floyd’s death. There would never have been a better time to re evaluate police practices and training to root out the tiny minority of bad cops. The overwhelming majority of good cops and the American people would have been right there doing their part. Unfortunately the good cops have been too busy trying to keep their cities from being destroyed and mourning the death of black men like David Dorn and others, who’s Black Lives actually didn’t Matter, to be a part of meaningful discussion of making policing better.

I m sorry do I sound pissed? The country is on fire and surrogates of the extreme liberal left have been lighting the matches.

NO ONE supports arson my ass.

Yeah, damn…I mean it’s not like Lincoln ever did anything good for black people!!!

I’m 60 years old and in my lifetime I’ve never been as afraid for America’s future as I am right now.

You don’t randomly destroy a nation’s history just because of the popular political whims of the moment…especially since it’s becoming apparent that the people doing the destroying don’t always have any kind of grasp of the people they are defacing and vandalizing.

This is what happens when you turn a bunch of lunatics with spray paint cans and too much time on their hands loose…

From the linked article…“On Wednesday, protesters wrecked a statue of Philadelphia abolitionist and philanthropist Matthias Baldwin. They defaced the face of the statue, covered it in paint, and scrawled the word “colonizer” on the sculpture’s pedestal…There was also apparently an attempt to topple the statue of the abolitionist:”

" Baldwin, born in 1795, moved to Philadelphia from his birthplace of Elizabethtown, New Jersey, at 16 years old. Originally trained as a jeweler, he went on to become a manufacturer and inventor, starting his own company, Baldwin Locomotive Works.

The 19th century entrepreneur, whose plant built more than 1,500 locomotives, not only argued against slavery and for the right of black Americans to vote, but also used his own, personal income to pay for the education of black children."

This man did more to show that Black Lives Matter than any of the idiots marching on our streets today. And they tried to tear him down.

They ripped a statue of Thomas Jefferson down in Portland…(God what has happened to my beautiful former home state?)

Yes he owned slaves…He was also the third President and helped to create a nation that has given more opportunity and freedom to men and women of all races than any other nation ever.

This conduct cannot be defended. People of extreme viewpoints from one generation should not be substituting their feelings about the history of the nation for the rights of those who came before us and those who come after us to recognize, understand, and celebrate that history.
