That’s one. Since the ratification was dependent on the 2nd, I’m not sure you can separate the two like that.
not just john locke but other thinkers like him. The concepts of capitalism, free trade, and liberty can be said to have come from liberal thinking.

I specified in the classical sense so of course not me because as i said earlier, classical liberalism had fatal flaws that needed to be fixed later on.

I’m not that big of fan of his because he couldn’t get pass the thought that social contract was handed down from the state.
Where Locke kind of reverse that roll…that state must abide by the contract of it’s people.
Which IMO is the one that our founders have adopted.
