I work for a banking/trading firm I remember when everyone was propping up Cathy Woods and her tech picks as she launched tech etf after etf. Now they have lost over half of their value and more money has been made shorting her ETF ARKK than the etf ever made. When they start raising rates it’s going to be a bloodbath regardless of the amount and with inflation rising more and more they have no choice, it’s going to get ugly.

People should prepare we are advising our clients to as well modifying portfolios. What’s coming with interest rate hikes is going to be worst than what has passed.

I’m shorting the market then.

Our energy independence started when we married advances in horizontal drilling with better frac procedures in the mid 2000’s and applied them in the Permian. And when oil export limitations were lifted it gave oil companies additional incentive to drill more in the US.
